Customers of the Estill County Water District are experiencing either low pressure or complete outages. This is due to one or more of the following issues:

Residential Leaks: Many of our customers have had residential water lines freeze and burst due to the low temps. If you have a leak or see one in the community please contact our office at 606-723-3795.

Residential Usage: Many customers are allowing water to run inside the home to keep the lines from freezing. We are requesting voluntary water conservation from our customers.

Power Outage: IMU experienced a 3 hour power outage on Saturday that put a strain on the system.

Water Levels: Rising water levels at the Kentucky River are causing problems at the intake site.

The Estill County Water District and Irvine Municipal Utilities are working to remedy all of these issues. We are asking for cooperation from our customers. Please help us help you by conserving water, repairing leaks, and reporting any leaks in the system to our office. We are all going to get through this, it's just going to take time, and it's going to take working together in order to do it. Feel free to contact our office with any questions or concerns. 606-723-3795.
